About Liberty University PhD Programs
Liberty University’s Doctor of Philosophy in Counseling offers advanced training in the fields of Christian Counseling. Students can choose from two specializations in professional counseling or pastoral care and counseling. The program uses internships and a practicum within a student’s field of interest.
The university’s Doctor of Education (EdD) is an online course with three classes required on campus. The program consists of 60 total credit hours plus a six hour dissertation and students must choose a concentration in Educational Leadership or Teaching and Learning.
Liberty University’s Doctor of Ministry (DMin) is a 30 total credit hour program requiring a six credit hour thesis. Students have the option to choose a specialization in the following areas: Evangelism & Church Growth; Expository & Evangelistic Preaching; Pastoral Counseling; Pastoral Leadership & Management; or Worship.
