Interested in earning an Honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree?

Although there are a some Christian Universities offering Honorary Doctor of Divinity Degrees, in most cases, individuals receive a Doctor of Divinity degree after demonstrating both practical experience and some academic achievement.

Keep in mind, however, that most Doctor of Divinity degrees are acquired through academic means rather than Honorary bestowal. If you find that you do not meet the requirements for an Honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree, consider taking online courses from an accredited Christian University… and financial aid is available. Currently, Liberty University offers a Master of Divinity and a PhD in Theology online.

In order to receive an Honorary Doctor of Divinity degree, you will have to go through an application process which includes in-depth information about your previous work and educational experiences.

Typically, a written testimony about your personal experience as a Christian may be required as well. It can be anything regarding your Christian life. For example, you can write about how you were saved or the difference Christ made in your life, or maybe how you led someone to Him. It can be anything that can describe your faith or your Christian life. Remember to make it brief and concise. A contribution is usually required to accompany your application.
